“The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education."

OUR TEACHERS & ADMINISTRATORS
Provide a quality early learning experience for children ages 6 weeks to 10 years. We provide developmentally appropriate practices to meet the needs of our infants and toddlers, excellent academic foundations for our preschoolers, positive role modeling for our school agers, and an encouraging environment for each child we care for. We continually seek to build relationships throughout the community that will link our families to the businesses, educators, and community agencies equally dedicated to the advancement of children and families.

Children are acutely sensitive to the world around them, and how a space or a particular material suggests certain possibilities. Teachers welcome this influence and actively cultivate it, by recognizing the environment as the third teacher in the classroom, capable of stimulating, deepening and challenging children’s thinking without saying a word.

NURSERY

6 Weeks to 2 1/2 Years

Although your child is away from you during the day, we maintain portfolios for each child so that you know your little one is not only being cared for but is growing developmentally during their time with us.

Our program is designed for individual development at the child's own pace.

Our low teacher/child ratios

allow the caregivers to provide security, identity, exploration and continuity of care for a journey of searching and learning.

As your child approaches their "terrific twos," they will develop an understanding and appreciation for their uniqueness in the world.

Our teachers will help them develop strategies to manage their emotions and behaviors as they begin to understand and establish peer relationships.

MIXED AGE
1 - 3 YEARS

By the time your child reaches 2 1/2 years old, their ability to process information, interact with others and care for themselves quickly increases. We offer an environment specifically designed to help sharpen these skills.

Our teachers also work to solidify potty training, following simple directions and small tasks which are vital skills needed for our preschool program. They will become more independent and develop strategies to manage their emotions and behaviors.

Upon completing the transitional program, your child will enter our preschool program equipped to be successful in this new venture of learning. Higher educated teachers will continue your little one’s fundamental journey through letter recognition and writing practice.

TODDLER
2 - 3 YEARS

Heavenly Kids is in partnership with Child Development Council's Head Start program. These slots are on a first come-first served basis and are offered to parents who meet income guidelines.

We utilize Creative Curriculum that meets ODE's birth through 5 years early learning standards. The child-centered curriculum incorporates social/emotional, cognitive, language arts, writing, science & technology, social studies, math, creative art and large motor activities to meet the developmental needs of your child.
