NURTURING CHILDREN TO REACH THEIR HIGHEST POTENTIAL
“The route through childhood is shaped by many forces, and it differs for each of us. Our biological inheritance, the temperament with which we are born, the care we receive, our family relationships, the place where we grow up, the schools we attend, the culture in which we participate, and the historical period in which we live—all these affect the paths we take through childhood and condition the remainder of our lives. “
- Robert H. Wozniak (20th century), U.S. Professor,
Human Development
Our holistic approach to children’s health and nutrition, academic development and social/emotional well-being is the foundation by which your child will grow.
Our first mission is to build and nurture a relationship with each child and their family.
We work collaboratively with each family to determine goals for the child and share with
parents regularly to ensure these goals are met.
WE ARE COMMITTED TO OFFERING CHILDREN A
HEALTHY BREAKFAST, LUNCH AND SNACK.
OUR MENUS INCLUDE ORGANIC FRESH FRUITS AND VEGETABLES.
We have established a community within our program through our parent committee, volunteer opportunities and monthly events to bring children, parents and staff together.
Through a partnership with Mid-Ohio Food Bank and Franklin Park Conservatory, we host a farmers market every third Tuesday.
We offer fresh fruits and vegetables along with dairy products free of charge for our families only. We promote healthy eating because we know that children learn best when they have eaten a balanced, nutritious meal.
Franklin Park Conservatory offers monthly cooking demonstrations for our parents. Those who participate regularly receive a free one year membership to the Conservatory.
Children begin to grow seedlings inside prior to spring.
Then when the weather permits, they move the small plant outside to water and till the garden until harvest.
WE HAVE A GARDEN!
OUR HEAVENLY HARVEST FOSTERS A SENSE OF COMMUNITY AND PROMOTES HEALTHY EATING.

“We've got this gift of love, but love is like a precious plant. You can't just accept it and leave it in the cupboard or just think it's going to get on by itself. You've got to keep watering it. You've got to really look after it and nurture it.”
